Ventrilo Installation and Setup

First go to: http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php

And download the client to your system. Once it's finished downloading and you've installed it put in the following information into the "Server" settings:

Hostname or IP: 74.184.81.181
Port Number: 3784
Password: password

If you time out with that host try this as the host:

Hostname or IP: brigade.kicks-ass.org

Note: The IP address will most likely change on a monthly basis due to it's dynamic. Till I can get a host to resolve DNS over IP these settings will be updated accordingly.

I can not get It to work I have it downloaded but I can not connect

Make sure if you've tried the IP address for the hostname to take it on out then try on out the DNS website name to resolve.

If you're having issues connecting to both first try pinging the IP address to see if you get a reply then try pinging the DNS (website name) provided in the information above.

If you get replies from both try disabling your firewall or enable your firewall to accept that application.

If you're using another locations internet ie school internet their maybe a proxy blocking the forward of traffic information to that port. The port as above is the default port so to test that try using the "telnet" command with the IP address to see if you can get to that port.
